AC MILAN X PAPER PLANES
In December 2020, Paper Planes had the incredible opportunity to design art for a collab with Paper Planes and the world-renowned football club, AC Milan, on a one-of-a-kind capsule collection. As the Graphic Designer at Paper Planes at the time, I was entrusted with the responsibility of conceptualizing and creating designs that resonated with urban communities in both Milan and New York City—two iconic cities with a rich cultural connection to football and street style.
Guided by the vision and direction of my Creative Director, we set out to create a collection that would not only highlight the distinct identities of both cities but also celebrate their shared experiences and cultural overlap. In particular, we wanted the designs to reflect the unity and vibrancy of inner-city life, incorporating elements that spoke to the everyday experiences of communities in both Milan and New York.

To bring this vision to life, we utilized AC Milan's signature color palette—blending their iconic red and black with bold, graphic elements that visually represented the energy and spirit of both cities. The imagery we chose for the collection was a fusion of Milan's urban landscapes and the unmistakable vibe of New York’s streets, capturing the essence of both cities in a way that felt authentic and connected.
This project was particularly special to me as it allowed me to blend my passion for both design and football while also exploring the intersection of global urban cultures. The opportunity to create something that resonated with such a diverse audience—spanning two of the world’s most iconic cities—was both challenging and incredibly rewarding. I’m proud to say that this collaboration remains one of my favorite projects to date in my career.
