PAPER PLANES X XSET
"This project was incredibly special to me, both personally and professionally, for a number of reasons. I was contracted by XSET, one of the leading esports organizations, to create a series of unique graphics for an exclusive collaboration with Jay-Z’s iconic fashion brand, Paper Planes—an organization that holds personal significance to me as my former employer. The opportunity to work alongside the creative director at XSET was both exciting and inspiring, as we combined the worlds of music, fashion, and gaming into a cohesive design concept.
Together, we developed a collection that fused these cultural elements, resulting in a striking set of merchandise. My role in the project was to create graphics for the Graphic Tee and Hoodie. The collection featured a custom-designed “Paper Planes X XSET” crown, a sleek tracksuit, and a graphic tee, all of which blended the signature aesthetics of both brands.
A key aspect of the campaign was the launch event, which included an exciting NBA 2K tournament held at the Paper Planes flagship store in Soho. The winner of the tournament received the exclusive collection as a prize, creating an immersive and engaging experience for both gaming enthusiasts and fashion fans alike.
I’m proud to share that the collection was met with tremendous success, selling out within just one week of its release. The project not only allowed me to merge my passion for design and pop culture but also gave me the chance to work on an innovative campaign that resonated with fans from multiple communities."
